We want you to know exactly what happens to the details you share with us. Here is the short version: we use them to tell you when first access opens, we never sell them, and you can ask us to update or remove them at any time.
Who we are
Coastal Essentials Lab is an early-access list for beach essentials inspired by Sri Lanka’s coast, including beachwear, resort pieces and beach-day accessories. This page explains what we collect when you browse this website or join the first-access list, and how we use it.
What we collect
When you join the first-access list we collect:
- Your name
- Your WhatsApp number
- Your email address
- The product or collection you were interested in
- Where you came from, such as the website, ad or link that brought you here, the page you were on and the button you tapped
Like most websites, we also collect basic analytics about how the site is used, such as which pages are viewed and which buttons are tapped. This includes events sent through the Meta Pixel, which may use cookies or similar technology to measure how our ads perform. Our website host and Meta also receive standard technical details when you visit, such as your IP address and browser type. We remember the ad link you arrived from for the length of your visit, so we know which ad brought you to the list.

How we may contact you
We may contact you by WhatsApp or email about product availability, early access and related updates. We will not use your details for anything unrelated. If you would rather not hear from us, tell us and we will stop.
Payment and orders
No payment is taken when you join the first-access list. Joining the list does not confirm an order or reserve a product. It simply means we will notify you when first access opens.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We only use trusted tools that are needed to run this website, store the first-access list, measure site activity and understand how our ads perform. These include our website host (Netlify), our list database (Airtable) and Meta’s advertising tools. Some of these services store data on servers outside Sri Lanka.
How long we keep it
We keep your details for as long as we need them to send first-access updates, or until you ask us to remove them.
Your choices
You are in control of your details. You can ask us to update them, or to remove them from the list, at any time by emailing coastalessentialslab@gmail.com. You can also manage the ads you see through your own Facebook ad settings and your browser’s cookie settings.
Changes to this page
If we change how we handle your details, we will update this page and the effective date above.
